Head of FP&A

What are you going to do?

The Head of FP&A reports to the CFO BNL and is responsible to increase business value by overseeing the delivery of planning & performance cycles, standardizing and automating financial & management reporting and providing actionable analysis and insights for decision making for both CFO and Finance business partners. Align proactively with key stakeholders to ensure that the FP&A is ready to enable the Mediq BNL wide organization in achieving its vision, mission and objectives. 

  • Lead  the execution of the Performance cycle (Strategy, Budget, Target setting, Monthly reporting, Forecasting, KPI’s) 
  • Drive conclusive analysis in a complex landscape 
  • Actively support (strategic) decisions by means of sound business analysis, working closely with the Finance Business Partner team and CFO 
  • Accountable to drive & deliver on performance targets (quality, time and cost) by managing the team’s KPI's and hold team members accountable for targets 
  • Identify and act on new or innovative solutions, enabling the FP&A team to focus more or value adding activities. 
  • You’ll be a part of the Finance MT, focusing on together improving the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of Finance as a whole 
  • Drive ambition of the FP&A team members towards Mediq’s mission and vision, act as a coach and own the career development plans of team members 
  • Responsible for all resourcing processes, including staffing, effective succession planning, performance management and people development 

What is your background?

 

  • University degree in Finance/Accounting or Business Economics, an RC title is considered a plus 
  • 8+ years of progressive FP&A experience required, of which 5+ years as a manager. Preferable of a large group (6 to 8 employees)
  • Commercial thinking, good business sense and drive to make things better 
  • Ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated, balanced with high standards of accuracy and precision 
  • Analytical, problem-solving capabilities with creativity in finding solutions. 
  • Delivering results, providing the right story and meeting customer expectations 
  • Functional competencies as financial planning, modelling and accounting. 
  • Strong leadership skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills (Dutch and English)
