IT Manager Mediq Belgium

What are you going to do?

As you are the local IT Manager, you are the linking pin of the local to the group IT organization regarding IT and you are responsible in reporting progress, performance (for example SLA reports) and budgetary status on periodic basis (monthly) to the IT Director. You are also responsible to coordinate and align IT related activities with external suppliers/partners. You can also take the role of Local IT Project Manager and can possibly take up roles and participate in Group IT Projects. You will manage all the local applications and IT infrastructure components if applicable.

Further responsibilities are:

IT Demand Management:

  • Translate business requirements into IT-solutions/functional specifications
  • Relationship management with local business and other stakeholders to create and maintain an optimal climate for successful project deliveries and information sharing
  • Drive standardization of Services
  • IT Risk management (including documentation)Local supplier Management and IT Finance:
  • Authorize supplier invoices related to local IT and projects
  • Manage performance of suppliers and contracts within project
  • Work with the IT Director and Global IT Governance and Control to prepare and coordinate the local IT budget based on supplier contracts, internal activities, and local projects

IT Project Management:

  • Lead or participate in project work and maintain in the BU
  • Preparation and maintenance of baseline project management products (E.g. PID, Stage Plans and Work Packages) and reports (E.g. Highlight Reports, Issue reports, End-Stage reports, Lessons reports, End project reports)
  • Preparation and maintenance of registers (Issue register, Risk register, Daily Log, Lessons Log)
  • Liaise with corporate/program management to ensure that work is neither overlooked nor duplicated by related projects and with external suppliers/customers
  • Lead and motivate the assigned projects project teams
  • Manage the information flow between the directing and delivering levels of the project
  • Manage the production of the required products
  • Establish and manage the project controls (monitoring and reporting)
  • Delegate responsibility and authorize Work Packages

Process Development & Operations Control

  • Participate in process development work
  • Contribute to develop the local PMO organization in collaboration with the senior project manager and other Mediq project managers
  • Support the day-to-day routine tasks and documentation of IT Setup

What is your background?

You are the person between the local Belgium and the global Mediq organization, therefore you need to have excellent collaboration and stakeholder management abilities. You bring at least 3 years of experience in a similar role in the matrix organization.

  • University degree or equivalent acquired experience
  • Project management methodology (including Prince2)
  • Planning and time management

  • Process and business development
  • Ability to run several projects in parallel
